Simple Office

What it is

Most people are not writing a hundred-page report. They receive a .docx, an .xlsx or a PDF, change a few lines or sign a page, and send it back — and the only thing that matters is that it still looks right when it lands. That is the whole product: three file types, done properly, in the browser or on your desktop.

The reason people keep paying for Office is fidelity: their file opens wrong somewhere else. So the work here is not a long feature list, it is not breaking the document — and being honest about the ceiling. Complex layouts, macros and heavily tracked legal documents still belong in the full suite.

Files are opened on your own machine — in the browser or in the desktop app. Nothing is uploaded to read or edit them.

Deliberately narrow: open, edit and return everyday Word, Excel and PDF files — not a full Office replacement.
